KaraKızıl is an organised supporter group associated with Gençlerbirliği and Ankara’s red-and-black football culture.
The group traces its roots to a small community of Gençlerbirliği-supporting university students around the turn of the millennium and developed a distinctive supporter identity centred on independent support for the club.
KaraKızıl remained clearly active in 2025. In August, the group discussed its history and supporter philosophy in a detailed interview, and in September it issued a public statement calling on the Gençlerbirliği board to resign.
